Permalink Duke Robillard's SeaFoam Green Fender JazzMaster RI CIJ

New Topic

Thought this may be of interest to someone. Although I don't know who Duke Robillard is. (But I didn't know who Roy Buchanan was yesterday when I posted his youtube video) Ashamed but I admit it Confused imageimageimageimage

Duke is a noteworthy Blues guitarist who replaced Jimmie Vaughn in the Fabulous Thunderbirds in the mid-'90's.

That's a pretty Jazzmaster, but $949 BIN + $75 shipping for a used CIJ with an aftermarket case.....? Rolling Eyes

Perhaps for a serious Duke Robillard fan.

The Surge! (2004, 2011-2012)
Various non-surf bands that actually made money

Thanks, Woody.

this is the 2nd or 3rd listing for this guitar. I believe that it was originally priced at over a grand. They're obviously trying to cash in on the name and maybe the somewhat rare finish.

I'd be curious to know how many times Duke Robillard actually even picked up this instrument. I read a listing of the instruments that he used on Guitarorama and I don't remember seeing anything about a CIJ Jazzmaster. He mostly plays old Epiphone, Gibson and Gretsch guitars from what I have read.

And isn't that actually surf green? The left photo looks almost sonic blue and the right looks more surf green. Foam green is more "greener" than that.

It looks like a cross between Daphne and Sonic Blue to me...definitely not Seafoam unless the camera/lighting is playing tricks.

I agree Woody. The right picture starts getting into surf green territory. Maybe the flash ruined the first. Maybe the CIJ colors are a bit off too.

There is a difference between surf green and foam green. Foam green is greener while surf green is actually more blue than green IMHO.
