Thought I'd share this one with you...

This is my other rig. Moving the Peavey around is out of the question and there's no way I'd leave the Princeton out in my pergola but this $50AU 12W piece of crap is actually quite good to use as the power amp for my MacBook and Amplitube software. Close your eyes and you'd be fooled by the sounds I get from it.

And the bonus is I just leave it outside Smile

Ive heard that program! COOL Idea!!!

THe NEpTuNeS

It's pretty good... grab the demo and have a play with it!

Until about six months ago, I believed that computers and guitars should never be combined. What's more, I'm an anti-effects sort of person (reverb and overdrive excepted) but hell, this is so much fun and didn't cost the earth.

In fact, the software came with the StealthPlug (USB audio interface) I bought to record some stuff to the computer. I had decided to use the computer as a recorder to try and get some of my old stuff down for posterity. It's opened up a whole new world for me. My old guitarist now lives four hours drive from here but we can exchange files over the 'net and then I can "adjust" the sound of his guitar as I put it all together.

Great fun!

And, as I said, the cheap little amp can just sit outdoors and I don't have to worry about it ;)

Hey, Do you have any surf preset to share? If so, you can share it in this other forum!

BTW I got a new pair of monitors today (instead of a small amp to play at home) Smile

Cheers, and happy new year!!!
