Boss pedals, specifically their quality control and reliability is fantastic! They have a specific reputation for being durable and dependable.
My big observation with Boss is as storied as their choruses are, why have they never made an even passable flanger nor recently a decent phaser (the latter since the late 80’s. The ph-1/r and ph-2 were both great)?
Their current flanger and phaser are both digital and over 30 years old. Why would anyone from the company or the consumer end decide an extremely dated digital modulation pedal is a good choice?

I had a CS-3 for a very short time. I’d talk about it more, but I’m afraid of triggering flashbacks.  They may be hesitant to update these because they know that they’ll never break into those particular markets.

Just my two cents. YMMV. Using everything mentioned below predates when I got too sick to play out. The way I'm progressing, I may be playing out again as soon as October 2024.
I keep the dreaded FRV-1 as an emergency backup. But as I have a Texotica tube reverb and all my amps have as credible on-board digital reverb, and my Fender Stage 112SE has a built-in reverb pan for terrific onboard spring reverb, I can't remember the last time I used it.
TU-2 is excellent.
TU-3 tuner is better.
I used my RV-5 Reverb when I played my J-bass, usually set to Plate or Hall. I love how my bass sounded through it.
I bought the universally disliked FZ-5 Fuzz pedal. It's as dreadful as they say. Only one setting is useable, and it's pretty bad.
These are all my BOSS pedals. I think I bought the TU-3 because my TU-2 failed. Other than that, my other BOSS pedals have proved sturdy and reliable.

That FRV-1 is a strange beast. When it first came out, it stacked up well against the spring reverb pedals on the market, but the state of the art has advanced a lot, since then.

The EHX Oceans 11 does the same thing. Pretty annoying IMO.
