I think Skip disappeared! Well if you see this I took the old white label Rat pedal and sort of flip some things around inside, value changes and component changes to bring out some of the lower gain qualities of this circuit.
I know Davie Allan the Fuzz King is now playing with a rat instead of his early fuzz pedals and thus I've made sure my Ubangi Stomp can still deliver the super fuzzy stuff but its really the low gain side of this that shines.

There are a million rat clones I know, but some of us find different uses for em than others. Smile

I know its been a minute or two but I've made some simple changes to the Ubangi Stomp aka lower gain transparent RAT style "gritch'stortion" pedal. There is now a switch inside the box that allows you to move from its standard open low end, uncompressed mode to a tighter, compressed and singing mode. The later is fantastic for plank guitars while the open mode is dialed for those who want an unconventionally clean low end distortion pedal. Very important for those who love tremolo picking and reverb, also important to those of us rocking hollow guitars intent on twang. Anywayzzz, the new box is a bit more low slung. and even better, purple Smile
