One of the most innovative bands of national instrumental rock, Surfadelica seeks to expand the boundaries of what is conventionally called surf music. The Delstroyers (Seattle-Washington, USA)

http://www.thedelstroyers.com/

https://thedelstroyers.bandcamp.com/

Biography (From Facebook page)

The Delstroyers emerged from the mists of Seattle, WA in 2016, awash in reverb and cloaked in black. Their dark, instrumental surf melodies pay homage to both the founders of the genre and the revivalists of the 1990s, all wrapped in an undying love for things that go bump in the night. In 2017 they unleashed their debut full-length record "Diabolical" on an unsuspecting populace, and the summer of 2019 will see them team up with Hi-Tide Recordings to bring forth "Resurrected", four new tracks of spooky drip and biting fuzz.

King Pelican (Alamo City-Texas, USA)

https://www.facebook.com/King-Pelican-150652407140/

https://www.cduniverse.com/sresult.asp?qs=m2629803

Biography (From Facebook page)

After the release of their 2012 debut EP, “The Good, The Bad and The Reverb” (Stingray Records), King Pelican hit the concrete waves of South Central Texas, to spread their penetrating, Third Coast brand of Surf to fans in Austin, Houston, the Gulf Coast, West Texas and their hometown of San Antonio. The opus “El Gallo”, a tale of a brave rooster who happens to be a gunfighter, as well as the romantic space ballad “Western Satellite”- two KP originals- started to fill radio and internet airwaves and Surf fans listened. Audiences of live shows fell into euphoric trances as they participated in the ritualistic dance that accompanies the primal beat of “Stingray”, a KP fan favorite.
In 2015, King Pelican released their first full length CD, “Matador Surfer” (Deep Eddy Records) and delivered their dynamic sound to new audiences outside of Texas, including a sojourn to Mexico City where KP introduced a new international audience to the luchador beat of the “El Santo Stomp” and the Apollo Missions inspired “Sea of Tranquility”.
In 2018, KP is set to release a new 4 song EP vinyl record that revisits the year 1968 and the San Antonio World’s Fair of that same year, "Hemisfair ‘68", and visit new audiences in California for the Surf Guitar 101 Convention and a return to Mexico, but this time playing for a new scene in Baja California Sur.

Biography (From Facebook page)

Band members: Tom Bittel, Dick Bascom, Mike Rocchetti. •• These guys have been playing in rock bands for a very very long time. •• Tom Bittel's first band performed rock and roll songs of the 50's and 60's. He played lead guitar in a style combining elements of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, and the Ventures. In 1984, Tom joined a Hartford band called "The Broken Hearts," who recorded a 9-song LP titled "Want One?" Tom was later a member of "See Jane Run," a Connecticut band who released their first CD in 1994 and a second titled "Weird Reality" in 2004. In 2002, Tom released his own 13-track CD titled "Dad's Noisy Basement" (www.dadsnoisybasement.com). Tom wrote and recorded the first songs for the Aquatudes in 2006. In June of 2007, he met drummer Dick Bascom through the North East Surf Music Alliance (NESMA) and then the real fun began! • • Dick Bascom began hitting the hides at the age of ten in the mid-1960's. "Having chops" back then meant being able to thump a respectable "Wipe Out" drum solo on the the school bus seat cushions. Dick spent his fist years as a drummer terrorizing several school band directors by day, and then by night playing the central CT bar scene in the country rock band "Anonymous." Dick played a regular schedule of bar gigs, social club dances and weddings, which included the surf classics Pipeline, Walk, Don't Run, and of course, Wipe Out. After taking an extended time-out to live the American Dream, Dick expanded on the theme and hooked up with some other old guys in 2006, and played drums in Connecticut's Classic Rock scene for a bit. He also helped satifsfy his need to play and coach by offering drum lessons to beginning drummers, where the "surf beat" is required learning. Dick found the NESMA Surf rock classified ads in the spring of 2007, and soon made Tom's aquaintance to provide the drums for the emerging Aquatudes. • • Mike Rocchetti started playing rock & roll and blowing fuses in 1974 on an electric bass guitar (a short-scale Fender Musicmaster Bass with a 100 watt Fender Bassman Amp) that he bought with money earned working at a local shipyard in New London Connecticut. After ten years of raising hell, playing occasional gigs at local biker bars, sometimes disturbing the peace, and oftentimes dealing with irate neighbors, barking dogs, and local cops, he set his bass aside to focus on his schooling, career and family. After a long hiatus of musical inactivity, Mike jumped back in to the music scene in 2009 and hit the ground running. Mike plays a 1972 Fender Jazz Bass though an Acoustic B200H head with a B115 bass cabinet, and he assures us that this rig can blow the roof off any juke joint in New England. Mike's musical style is influenced by great bassists like Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, Glenn Hughes, Tim Bogert, Jack Bruce, Rocco Prestia, Bob Babbit, John Paul Jones and many more.

https://reverbbrasil.bandcamp.com/album/jungle-surfers?fbclid=IwAR2bxvFCH0JeCWFgkJgKd50vWPabGGI2OHamjYaaysEGBcn0LhRe1rpydCE

Biography(From Facebook page) Translated from Portuguese

In 1993 the young Alexandre Kanashiro discovers in Memphis (USA) The rebel sound of Link Wray. Then guided by the incessant noise of the god of distortion, returns the SP to form his first and only band: the flammable Gasolines. After numerous formations and musical genres added to its history, the Gasolines are now Alexandre Kanashiro on guitar, Fabio Barbosa (Modular) on drums, Carlos Costa (Continental Combo) on bass, and Benedito Rapé (the Benedictos) in congas and bongos. In shamanic presentations, the quintet invokes instrumental flames, Afro-Cubans and Caribbean rhythms, Garageiras antennas and even psychedelic coubia as offerings to the rock'n'roll spirits.

Mark Malibu & The Wasagas (Toronto, Canada)

https://wasagas.com/

https://markmalibuthewasagas.bandcamp.com/

Biography (From Facebook page)

We are Canada's original Surf Punk Instrumentalists. We existed from 1979-1982. We were 16 years old. We played with many new-wave and punk bands confusing audiences everywhere.

It was not easy playing surf instrumental music when clubs wanted Black Sabbath, Black Flag or .... any other band wearing black clothes with vocals. We did manage to align with some other young bands around town and play the usual Toronto dives like the Turning Point, Larry's Hideaway, Cabana Room to name a few. We also managed to record 7 original songs.

We reunited in 2014 for several shows with all original members. That’s 32 years later! 2016 promises to be an interesting year for us Wasagas with lots of new music and shows being offered. Surfs Up again !

The D-Rays (Athens-Ohio, USA)

https://www.facebook.com/theDRays/

https://draysathens.wordpress.com

https://www.undergroundhiphop.com/product/the-d-rays-the-d-rays-vinyl-lp-record/

Biography (From above link)

Hailing from the Appalachian foothills of Ohio, The D-Rays new self-titled LP brings their own style of high energy pre-surf instrumental sounds directly into your music rooms. With a musical pedigree that includes members of Geraldine, Kill Surf City, and The Queers, the D-Rays bring their years of experience to the table on this recording- the result is purely inspired, hopped-up instrumental excitement, maintaining original ideas and sounds while keeping their feet firmly planted in the ideals of the traditional music.
Fueled by an explosive rhythm section and reverb drenched guitar, The D-Rays S/T delivers 11 songs in just under 25 minutes. 10 new, never before released originals including live show favorites Belladonna and Power Nap along with a high-spirited cover of the traditional classic, Lanky Bones. Songs rarely break the 2-minute mark allowing this 12″ slab of vinyl to be pressed at 45RPM, resulting in a hotter audio signal.
From the opening chords of The Morgellon Creep to the closing crash of A Blaze In The Athens Sky, The D-Rays S/T songs showcase scorching performance along with catchy melodies and hooks that will nestle themselves deep into your brain for weeks, months and years to come.

Machete Western (Austin-Texas, USA)

https://www.facebook.com/Machete-Western-281494545257634/

Biography (From Facebook page)

A dynamic quadrabang of thunder and twang, Machete Western has been simultaneously offending and arousing the peoples of Texas since its conception. They are known for manipulating innocent on-listeners into violent convulsions of ethnic dances and tribal shouting and although they are rumored to be worshipers of Satan they still play the gospels. They will put you on the threshold of awkward pain and nauseous pleasure. Libations and fornifications, Machete Western has it all.

https://www.discogs.com/Estrumental-Neanderntal/release/959589

https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/estrumental

http://dwmmusic.com/estrumental-neanderntal/
" Neander'n'tal has been nominated for Best Surf Song of The Year (Just Plain Folks Awards). Clearly Estrume'n'tal represents the Brazilian surf music scene in a most fantastic way. Estrume'n'tal has been active since 1997 but its members have played together since 1987. A great thing about this band is the harmonic cadence that becomes more and more heavy and dense. The potency of the band, guaranteed by a firm drum/bass backline and by the guitar solos of the guitarist Guilherme is impressive, and holds the strength of the music from beginning to end. Estrume'n'tal has played at several important festivals and shared the stage with Man or Astroman."
