I'm getting solo and band set together, so making a set list: I like the early original surf genre. There are lots of fast songs (good for later in the set but need some slow one's to start out) but trying to track down some slow one's, any suggestions would be a big help
I'm currently doing these slow ones
The Quiet Surf
The Breeze and I
Blue Venus
The Lonely Surfer
Johnny Guitar
Surfers Lament
Sleepwalk
PeacePipe/A Place in the Sun/Wonderful Land (these are not really surf but good slow songs)

High Wall is really cool. Here's a thread that collected all the versions, some really cool ones...

Just heard it this morning: Theme for Young Lovers. Lots of Shadows stuff is quiet.

I love the Ventures' version of Sukiyaki. Over the Mountain Across the Sea off that same album is great too.

Surfer's Life by the Blue Stingrays...a real beauty that we play when it's time for a pretty, slow tune.

The Insanitizers' version of this slow song ("And Suddenly You Run") gets a lot of enthusiasm. We enjoy performing it, especially improvising the bridge. Instead of pauses our bassist continues thumping, I like that.
