This is a good thread to re-read periodically for sure.
Here's some vintage Penetrators videos that recently turned up.

Caught those this morning (what started me back down this rabbit hole in the first place, lol). Thanks for sharing those on the forum here.

Couldn't help thinking about them today. In the big city & walked through the "musical dope house" and got to sit & play through one of those Ampeg G-15's that Rip was fond of. I can actually say if I didn't have my Vibrolux I'd have bought this sucker. All I can say is, wow, was he ever onto something. Great onboard verb (they call echo), very nice tremelo and, with a 15, more huevos than an all-night diner trying to cure hangovers.

Rip Thrillby would have been 51 years old today. I raise my single malt to him and to his brother, Spanky Twangler.
If you are new to SG101, you owe it to yourself to check out The Penetrators. Great music and one of the coolest bands ever.

If you are new to SG101, you owe it to yourself to check out The Penetrators. A wonderful place to start would be to read this thread from the beginning and find a copy of their album "Locked and Loaded". Great music and one of the coolest bands ever.
My first post on SG101 was on this date in 2015. https://surfguitar101.com/forums/my-posts/?page=24

Checkpoint Echo is one of my favorite songs of all time. We did a cover of it during 2020's COVID.
