Yes Sir, thanks. Have used (and mimic'd) w/o understanding what I'm doing. This one I'm going to try to dig thru properly so it can fall out of my fingers.

I'm working on my ultimate cornball/cheese-y slow song. Punchline to an old Ohio joke: Where's Engagement Ohio? "Halfway Between Dayton and Marion" which oddly enough, is the name of the song. Guaranteed to make you fall in love so- be careful how you use it.
Should have it done by next week.

Mermaid Beach, no sluffing, played right.
(There are a couple of areas where it's a real pinky exercise for an old uncooperative hand.)

"Surfing With the Fog", dedicated to a friend of mine (whom we all called Fog), that passed away recently. If only there were a few more hours in the day...

I've learned "Ali Baba", "Casbah" and "Exotic" (and then realized they were all basically the same notes).
Surf (at least the traditional, classic "first wave" stuff I listen to and play) is kinda like bluegrass, I guess...you learn one song (or lick, passage, turnaround, solo, etc.) and you've basically learned about 35 others.
It's a really efficient, "good bang for the buck" genre to get into...a little goes a really long way!

Finished learning "El Capitan" and "Stormdancer" (who would thought I'll learn them by ear )
Now I'm trying to figure out "Molokai Cocktail"

I'm recycling this topic for a new upload. "Encounter With Steven Tyler at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame". It's 57 seconds long and instro- NOT SURF. I already scored 1 'star' so I guess I underwhelmed someone which suits me just fine- I love it!

Going back through some Fireballs stuff, just fun listening. Homework (besides the Arabic course weeknights) is refining some things with the right hand on the Strat in terms of muting and running the vibrato bar. Nothing major, just requires a commitment from the human widget.

Mee tooo. Been trying to nut out the tab for a number of years. Sad isn't it?
Might have to try that trick slowing down the tempo on a mp3 file in Garbageband to finally crack it methinks

Years ago I have learned the cool Surf Trio version of Hawaii 5-0. I guess I have the tabs for it somewhere. Do you need them? Let me know so I start searching for it.

Ah! Cool Ludo!
In fact you need two guitars for this song. If you can play it with one it is okay.
The timing is hard in this song. But it is a question of training at all... (like always and with every song... blabla... )
Can you play it meanwhile?
