There is a vintage one on Ebay.de

Thanks bro, not keen on that £1,000 starting bid though!

Yes, it is expensive... these are rare in Europe.
There is a Ri one on local sale site here in France but the seller does not want to ship in foreign country.

two more options:
there is a Guyatone one on ebay uk... But I don't now what it(s worth...

And there is an Italian guy who is making a fender style one too: the cosmoverb.

There is also a guy in France who apparently custom builds them as well. Prices start at €500. Not much info available, but I read one positive review on a French forum. There seems to be a connection with the band Agamemnonz so maybe you could ask SG101 member apolloben if he as any more information, or email the builder directly.

As for the Cosmoverb, it seems equally hard to find information about it. I found this and this. SG101 member WR from the Netherlands owns one. On this page it was listed at €430.

You could also consider a Texotica, but I don't know if they will ship to Europe.

Good luck! Let us know if you find any more information about these or other options!

Wow, thanks for all the info guys! Really appreciate it.

I've browsed through those sites and the shipping costs plus the little info on the units make me think it'll be best to hang fire and wait for something more local to pop up.

The Guyatone is interesting but it looks hideous.

Are there any UK builders out there? There seems to be plenty of people in the US making them.

Search for amp builders in your area, someone who's replicating vintage amps. Call them, they'll know how to do it.

Just be patient and buy local. After a 7 months search I got a nice 2nd hand 63 reverb RI for a really good price. Sadly in these hard times people is selling off cheap a lot of nice gear.

I built mine. In fact I built two. The second one sounds way better. I could be persuaded to build you a chassis and you sort out the cab and the valves. The cab is really easy to make!

Cool! If I ever get the budget I'll definitely consider buying one.

For now I ended up buying the Guyatone, since everyone else thinks it's ugly Laughing But I don't mind, my amps are ugly as well. In fact, if you painted the panel black you would hardly be able to tell it apart from my modded Sovtek head... I'll have to be careful not to kick the wrong one Laughing

Shaun, here is your tank with great reliability, sound and price...I have one and love it.

Damn, didn't get on that quick enough!

Any tank from the US runs on 120Vac where we have 240Vac, so you'll either need to replace the mains transformer or use a separate step up transformer. You'll need to accept that you'll be looking to spend £250 - £300 for a reverb tank. The parts alone cost nearly that.

Texoticas are not shipped to europe No
I was asking them before I finally ended up building one myself.
parts were about 400€

here comes the WEST SAMOA SURFER LEAGUE

I think I built my second one for about £200 (GBP), I should have kept a record. The cabinet was very cheap, about £6 for a plank of wood! But a ready made one is a lot more. This one sounds amazing, I could afford to spend a bit more than the last one. Didn't have anywhere near the same amount of trouble getting rid of humming either.

Hi everyone!
The best outboard reverb I've ever tried is the one built by Le Suédois. He's a good friend (he fix our gears and made our bass amp the "Gustav II" a compact version of bassman) and the reverb has been developed on close collaboration. On his website you'll see all the stuff he creates or fixes (a great great fuzz too!) and a version of his reverb that is really cool. Actually the one he makes for me is a true surf version Smile (2 springs instead of 3, now it's a 6k6...). I can say it's been some kind of a prototype for 2 years and now it's finished. I tried reissues of the '63 and I like it a lot but now this little box (that looks like nothing for the moment 4 pieces of wood and wires...I have to finish it now!).
As we can say the surf version of his tube reverb is now finish for me, he is able to make some others for reverb junkies like you all.
If you're interested, check out his website contact him or maybe just send me a message I'll ask him what you want.
As it's still a fragile box, I don't know if I'll bring it to the Surfer Joe's Summer Festival. If I have the time I'll make a more solid one. (but don't expect anything pretty! Smile
