I am pretty sure that JP from the Exotics should know it.
I definitely know Casbah, but I have played it 1000 times already and there is a chance that it will be on the Exotics setlist that day anyway. You should go for it BTD. I'm good for twilight at trestles, Checkpoint Echo or Shot in the Dark. If anybody out there is up to the challenge I’d like to hear El Gato.
Otherwise jut put me where you see fit.
JP,
well its not that if you have or haven't played it a lot,
its that yer playing it with people that you've never played with before.
I got ya down for checkpoint echo with DP and Mom,
I'll give a listen to Casbah,
I can probably swing it, but If I get to overwhelmed with the actual running the convention, I might throw it back to you. OK?
Sounds good.
No takers on El Gato?!?!

Sean,
see my post above,
is there a way that you and firetone can do 2 guitar parts?
as Jonpaul wants to do bass on Shots in the dark.
Of course he does! I'll be happy to take the rhythm guitar part.

Sorry, Sean! I'm really not trying to Bogart the low-end duties--playing that particular song with Jesper would just be such a dream come true for me! And, yes...the sheer coolness of El Gato is definitely a force to be reckoned with! For those looking for it on CD, it's on Sundazed's Lost Legends of Surf Guitar, Vol. 1. Really looking forward to seeing you again, JP!

If you don't mind being joined by the guy who runs a serious risk of peeing his pants on stage thanks to the collision of excitement and anxiety, I'd have a $h!+ eatin' grin the size of Texas for the chance to play 2nd/rhythm guitar this one w/ y'all.

It's ok, Fady. I will probably leave some nervous pee puddles on stage too.

ironically I am never nervous when I get up and play,

Heh. When I went up in 09 I wasn't that familiar with the history of surf so I really didn't know who many of the old guys were. Ivan wasn't there, but I had talked to him a few times so he wasn't that threatening. Luckily, nobody told me Dave Wronski was there until AFTER I had played. That might have caused some issues!!!!
Don't sweat it. You're in the perfect environment. Not going to get anything but support.
