Hi everyone! After listening to El gato and The jetster by the Chandelles I was awed by their playing and sound but I haven't been able to find any other songs of theirs. I think I remember reading that both those songs were recorded at Norman Petty's Clovis, New Mexico studio. I'm pretty sure you could record a fart and make it sound good there. El Gato is a great song - —"You can't tell where you're going if you don't know where you've been" |

According to John Blair's awesome book, The Chandelles released only 2 songs, Jetster and El Gato. As Chris said, they recorded at Norman Petty's studio with Norman Petty producing. I was mining the first volume of Lost Legends of Surf and like everyone on this thread am really digging The Chandelles. I googled the band to find more info and came across this thread....very cool. I also wish they would have recorded more tunes. — |
