Came across this article today on msn.
Man suffers heart attack while eating at Heart Attack Grill.
He ordered the triple bypass burger ( 8000 CALORIES ? ) People thought he was faking a heart attack, because that's what this place is jokingly known for. Good news is he received prompt medical attention since there were many patrons there at the time.

There should be a lesson or moral in this.
I figure if you're gonna eat a big sloppy gooey burger, go to a place like the Heart Attack Grill where there are plenty of people. If a heart attack comes, the medics on hand will help.
However, if you are home alone with your dinner salad while the wife/gal pal is out shopping, & you have a heart attack, you're screwed.

The longevity of this popular thread has by and far outlived another once popular thread and that being of course "the ramen noodle thread" that has since been locked and wished into the cornfield by a few who find noodles to be un-surf-worthy and which serve only to verify to me that burgers kick serious ass over noodles.
At least this poor unfortunate victim didn't get shortchanged and got what he paid for! Hopefully my post won't be removed again by the anti noodle committee!

Johnny, the ramen thread is now over two years old. Don't you think it is time to move on? Let it go man, let it go.

I got a chuckle out of Johnny's Billy Mumy icon & his reference to wishing ramen into a cornfield.

It’s here! The Herminator Annouces the official arrival of The MONGO…a double cheeseburger with bacon, spicy polish dog, chili cheese fries, fried egg, and Spicy Chipotle. The inspiration for this monster creation was the former Jayburgers in LA, it was a double cheeseburger w/chili & fried egg. Maybe some of you remember it?

Kendall's in Prescott AZ, or Crown Burger in Salt Lake City. Kendall's is your standard awesome burger. Crown Burger however is a double cheese burger with pastrami... yum !

My favorite burger so far,
Triple Lindy, at Lindy's in Tuscon.
no ifs ands or butts about it.
here it is on its side, with a side of tater tots.

Man vs Food episode was just on where he was there.
He did the 9 or 12 patty burger, I can't remember how many.
3 is enough for me, and I don't eat dinner after that.
