number9.....this has been super helpful. i am a bass owner but not a bass player. i'm going to make an attempt to record this after i learn and can remember the parts. i need someone to lend me some young brain cells.

i felt brain dead this AM working on the bass line where the 'guitar solo' is around measure 60. i walked away from it and will be back at it later. the rest of it is pretty straight forward.

Working on a few Ventures Christmas tunes for our upcoming Holiday show. For some reason, "Frosty The Snowman" is giving me fits trying to get the rhythm part down.

Apache bass....which the more I play, the more I really don't care for. (Sorry Ivan!!!)

Sleepwalk bass......which the more I play, the more I like it.

Starting work on bass for University Blvd and Calhoun Surf sometime in the next week or so.

my band is working on a cover of the theme from french movie "la folie des grandeurs" that sounds quite surfish western spaghetti.

Two songs right now and I am doing it the hard way...

Learning to sight read sheet music to Drag City and King of the Surf Guitar!

I bought an Surf Music book off Ebay and I thought it had Tab in it...
Turns out its OLD... before tab.
That's right just chords and notation, maybe I'll buy a bass and learn that, the book has bass clef notation in it too.
