Yeah...I've pretty much converted. Haven't really touched my Strat since I got it. It was a toss-up as to which I'd choose when I first decided to start learning. Always thought about it....found myself listening to the bass line more. It was actually this album that finally drove me into the deep end! —Will "You're done, once you're a surfer you're done. What a great song! I can't help much with the lead, but if you need help with the chords and timing of the changes, let me know. Bruce's rhythm part is a work of art in and of itself! Cheers. —You're not drunk if you can put your socks on while standing. |

Well....thanks to Comcast and their fine quality equipment (not to mention stellar customer service) I spent the weekend without internet . Spent a little time learning the ins & outs of Best Practice.....learned the bass line to Feel Good Inc......and decided my life will not be complete until I learn the bass line to Jellyfish Sunrise by Daikaiju!!!!! (My ADD in action.....still need to finish Into the Crimson Sunset) —Will "You're done, once you're a surfer you're done. You're in. It's like the mob or something. I just worked out a guitar arrangement of Nut Rocker on vintage gear (vintage 2011 that is). It's now on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBU96GjKeq4 -Marty —"Hello Girls!" |

That was really cool Marty! Did it take a while to get used to hearing piano sounds coming out of the guitar? —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |

Thanks Brian. It feels fairly natural and was more a thrill to hear the piano sounds coming out. Ya do have to be a little bit careful. Some guitar techniques don't translate well. A surf gliscendo down the E string ala Miserlou doesn't work well for example. I'll be stickin' to the '60's gear for surf gigs. —"Hello Girls!" |
