I'd like to know if next year's event will be held at the same venue. The video I have seen made my jaw drop.

UnsteadyFreddie
anyway there is no video footage of DOCTEUR LEGUME I am sorry to report
I was in great demand on the other stage and elsewhere when he performed but I have a lot of pictures of the DOC & his unsteady troupe....
UNSTEADY F
round round get around, I get around....
Hi folks
since the mighty Unsteady Freddie couldn't film my liveset I post a short video promo
It's a cut-up of a live footage recorded during the 'Valdapozzo Grindhouse Night' - March 2009, it features the Surfwerks Maria "Satana" Russo @ percussions & Marcello Milanese @ theremin
Tha audio was crappy so I overdubbed it in a trashy "out of space/out of sync (TM)" mood
I apologize with my friend Marcello Milanese, he was lying in the dark ... but his theremin was hot and screaming as usual !!!

A review of Surfer Joe can now be read at HangNine.
It's short and the photographs are very small, but that's the house style (it suits my lazy nature!).
I'll post some videos when I've edited them.

Thanks my friend, I cannot wait to see the videos also. I'm sorry we did not meet at the festival - if I remember well. It will be next time!

Damn! That's the type of ionformation I like, I should have kept count and included it in my review.

Wow, a big tip-of-the-hat to you Lorenzo, for what sounds like a fantastic and still growing surf music festival. Congratulations on your hard work paying off!
Count me in as another person who would love to be there next year. I have a passport now, I might as well use it!

Hey All,
I just got back from Italy last night. The hi-light of my vacation was certainly being at the Surfer Joe Fest.
First off it was great to meet so many folks from SG101...Ivan, Patrick, Pollo (Jono may have been the funniest guy at the fest), the Kilaueas, Los Twang Marvels, Fabio from Psycho Surfers, Unsteady Freddie, the Wadadli Riders, Wannes, and soooo many more.
Huge Kudos to Lorenzo for putting this together, and pulling it off so well. He's a real professional, and a great guy!
I had a total ball playing with Lorenzo & Niki for my set. The set came off unbelievably well, as we had no rehearsal at all! They are true professionals, great people, and so much fun. I certainly can't wait to play with them again...sooner than later...Stay tuned!
Thanks to Yari from Hank's Music store in Pisa for lending me an Eastwood Hummingbird for my set, and to the Kilaueas for lending me a strap (the cool Sgt one), guitar cables, and the beautiful amp/ reverb! I did bring my own pick.
It's too hard to pick out a hi-light from the fest . The level of playing/ performing was exceptional.
