Ok, we are back on track again!
The new festival will be held in July, almost confirmed dates are 24-25-26 (as you see we will do one more day of event).
Still no names for the bands, but we are already working to make it bigger. The location will remain CALAFURIA, as it did well last summer.
If you have comments, ideas or suggestions please send them to me, I always need something new.
So... SURF MUSIC FANS, you have time to plan your trip to Italy for next July and come to join us...

Festival updates
We are working hard to finalize everything asap. I'm planning already the concerts' schedule, sponsors, stages, exhibitions and so on. More attractions including more Vespa's, more records' and memorabilia's booths, more music instruments.
Dates confirmed: 24, 25 and 26 of July, same place, CALAFURIA, in Livorno, Tuscany.
So, start planning your Italian holidays, Pisa airport is just 15 min. from the event. Flights come easy with American Airlines, British Airways, and almost any other company. This year we will manage directly some hotel bookings, so call us for more info and help: **info@surferjoemusic.com**. The event is FREE, no adminission tickets.

NEWS AND UPDATES
Surfer Joe Summer Festival will be great.
The line-up of the bands is coming up easily and it will be ready in very short times. Also the official web site for the event is almost done and will contain all the necessary info.
We are trying to work for booing an entire hotel for the bands and a few guests, but many accommodations are available around the area.
There will be several European (non Italian) bands performing and some excellent special appearances. We are waiting to finalize the US bands participating. But the fest will definitely be much fun guaranteed!
I HOPE SOME OF YOU AMERICAN PEOPLE will save some $$$ and fly to Italy in July. Flight tickets are cheaper than August (not bad with American Airlines either) and I can support you with cheap hotels.

need to know: where do most people stay? camping site, hotels? are there hotels or youth hostels nearby, and what's the exact location of the festival, is it in livorno?

The festival is in Livorno, it is a small town actually. The location is on the sea, the venue is called CALAFURIA, it is a big club. If you ask around everybody knows where it is.
The 2 camping listed on the web site are close to the festival location. I will also list hotels and the youth hostel, which is very nice but... you need the car to get there (ask Unsteady Freddie!).
It is generally not a problem to find an accommodation in Livorno, but park the car far from the festival site or come early in the morning!
