The festival is in Livorno, it is a small town actually. The location is on the sea, the venue is called CALAFURIA, it is a big club. If you ask around everybody knows where it is.
The 2 camping listed on the web site are close to the festival location. I will also list hotels and the youth hostel, which is very nice but... you need the car to get there (ask Unsteady Freddie!).
It is generally not a problem to find an accommodation in Livorno, but park the car far from the festival site or come early in the morning!
thanks, Im confused, google maps lists calafuria outside livorno inbetween the two campings. ideally Id have a hotel at walking distance. dont want to bother carrying a tent on the plane.

The site where Calafuria is listed is actually in Livorno, on the coast. There is nothing walking distance, but there are hotels that are 5-10 minutes by car, that is my best recommendation.
If you came by plane you will arrive in Pisa and you will then move to Livorno. You may think about coming to the festival location by bus during the day, so you don't have to bother about the traffic and the us stop is right at Calafuria.
It may be also possible that we will have a shuttle bus, but I cannot confirm right now. Stay in touch about this.

Most of them ask for camping or cheap hotel. Some has come by car from mid Europe. I heard that guys from Germany would like to organize a bus.

Some more changes in the timing and 2 new bands to be added to the show on second stage. This festival will be great!
FOR ANYONE INTERESTED: we are finalizing our agreements for the "artists' hotel", there will me limited availability, after that we will contact other hotels for supporting Surfer Joe and the event. Campings are also available.

Hi there, I'm getting info in the next days. It seems so. The venue is already organizing shuttle buses going to and from town, but there is already a regular bus line passing from there.
