Nebulas "Surf Party" Guitar Tab

In order to seed the new Tablature section, I have submitted a tab I did a long time ago: The Nebulas arrangement of The Astronauts classic "Surf Party". Well, it's the lead guitar part anyway. Anyone got the rhythm part figured out?

Please leave comments and corrections!
Song: Surf Party
Artist: The Nebulas (written by Dunham & Beverly)
Album: Nebula One

Tabbed by Brian Neal 18-May-2002

Notes: This is the Nebulas arrangement of the classic tune
made famous by the The Astronauts.

Intro: Palm muted G5 chord (355xxx) with lots of sweet sweet reverb

I've only heard Jon and The Nightriders live version of this song. I can only imagine how good The Astronauts version is.

Apart from the Astronauts:

  • Nebulas on Nebula One

  • Slacktone on Surf Adventure Tour (live)

  • Slacktone on Rough Surf, Rough Mix (live)

  • Slacktone (with Ferenc Dobronyi of Pollo del Mar) (live) See http://www.slacktone.com/video.html

  • Tormentos on Grab Your Board!

  • Jon & the Nightriders on ... (I forget) (live)

Not intended to be exhaustive - just what I've run into. I remember a little street theater associated with this. The regular beggar at US 36 & Baseline, Boulder, CO, c. 1992 (?) caught JtNR launching into it about 8:00 every morning as I drove by. Finally one morning he called out "Surf partay!" himself, just after Wronski (?).
