The next Sunday Surf Party at the Hotel Utah is going to be a blast! Danny and Tony's The Tomorrowmen open, the always brilliant Pyronauts on second, and an unusually augmented Pollo Del Mar will be doing a set of Spaghetti Western- mostly Morricone, but also a bunch of surf tunes that lend themselves to the desert treatment.
Let's try doing a pre-show meet up (musicians and fans) for Mexican food on Mission street at 12:30. I voted for La Corneta, my fave and also good for large groups.

La Corneta sounds good in Yelp, and I've never tried it. Plus, I'm playing a 'Corneta' at the show so it's quite apropos. The more the merrier so come on down and join us. Though by the time we get on stage my trumpet may not be playing solo any more

Which one is easiest to get to? I tend to suffer from blinding headaches when I drive to S.F.

You can park by the club and take Bart or we can carpool. We'll figure it out when we get closer.

Hey Ferenc,
Does the La Corneta on Mission you're refering to have anything to do with the La Corneta in Glen Park? That place is goooooood.

Juist from looking at the descriptions of the web, I would say they are owned by the same people. It's the first place I had a "Super Baby" Burrito- all the flavors, about 2/3 the volume.
taylor I hope you can make it, I know you often work on Sundays.

As I said before, I'm down for wherever. La Corneta is delicioso, but El Farolito is also pretty amazing in its own right.

Of what? seeing the show or eating the burritos?
Ted, I will personally drive down to Memphis and pick you up (I wish)
Don't you have to check up on that work you did in Sacto? On a Sunday?

It's a close call between the show and taquerias but the combination of both is too tempting. A nice dungbag, some beer, and thou...
Thanks for the offer.

Mmmm...stomach lining.
Have fun y'all, that is one PDM set that I would LOVE to see, plus seeing the Tomorrow Men (haven't had a chance yet), and the Pyronauts (who always rock)...too bad the transporter is not functional yet. My bandmate Hans and his wife are going, though. Can we get some video footage?

I'll have to pass on the Menudo, but thanks for the thought Ferenc.
