Permalink Joyo or Eno (EX) pedal???? What to buy

New Topic

I havent run pedals in years and my Zoom505 is done.
I have been scouring the internet/youtube and have come up with 2 different clone lines that look interesting. Joyo and Eno.

I am looking potentially at a delay, clean boost, chorus, tremolo, fuzz and distortion. Havent been able to find a treble booster clone like a Rangemaster yet.
Anyone have any experience, thoughtsor preferecnes for either of these lines? Other suggestions welcome.

P.S. I did a search through the forums and couldnt find anything.

I happily use a Joyo Ultimate octave fuzz.
You have to turn the fuzz down low for 60's sounds and then there isn't a ton of output but it sounds good to me. I had mine affordably modded for more output but I kind of like the stock tone better.

You can hear it here: http://www.reverbnation.com/crazyacesmusic/song/17619194-numb-one

Some of the Behringer stuff sounds good. It's not built tough but I've had no problems over the last four years.
I use the VD-400 Vintage Delay and the Vibrato pedal. They both sound really good to me.

I'm also really happy with a Zoom MS50G for many sounds. If you're willing to work through the menus and tweak creatively (ading EQ to a Fuzz or Distortion) you can get some great sounds put of it and a lot of choices, especially with the free update via USB

Cheap, good sounding pedals.

Cheers,
Jeff

Thanks jeff,
Awesome song and love the fuzz tone. It was Davie allans fuzz sound that led me to surf so I am partial to it. Now i gotta dig out the greatest hits Vol 2 CD out and spin it again. Thumbs Up

So far Joyo is in the lead, anyone else wanna comment?????

You can find some info in this old thread.

Hey Teisco,

I can also personally vouch for the Joyo clones. I got a couple to use on the road so I wouldn't worry if they got destroyed and they've been great! The JF-09 Tremolo and the JF-01 Vintage Overdrive (OD808) do just what one would want from them.

Of course, at the end of the day, they aren't a Strymon Flint or a modded Tube Screamer, but they do the job well.

From what I understand, the Catalinbread Naga Viper is currently the best Dallas Rangemaster treble boost copy.

Cheers!

The Catalina Bread Naga Viper sounds great. I checked out some demos on it. Thanks for the tip! Runs about $200 ish here.
Build your own clone has a germanium bosst pedal that looks interesting as well.
