Permalink The Treble Spankers "Araban" and "Hasheeda" Reissued

New Topic
Goto Page: 1 2 Next

For years I've been lamenting that I never got the long out-of-print "Araban", and "Hasheeda" CD's by the Treble Spankers. I've been relying on CD-R's, for which I'm grateful, but I've wanted the real thing. When occasionally found, they were always priced considerably higher than I was willing to pay. Good news! Universal NL has reissued them as a two-fer at a really reasonable price. I just got a copy from Amazon UK for about $20.00 US, shipped. Fans of Phantom Frank, and the Phantom Four, who do not have these spectacular CD's, should jump on these while they last. Between this release, and the Boss Martians/Frankie and the Pool Boys show last weekend, my new year is starting off spectacularly well!

That is so cool! Two of my all-time favorite albums!

Good find, Robbie! Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up Bob. I might have picked up one of those over the years but I've been relying on a CD-R for the other. It will be nice to have an official copy.

Ordered !! Thanks Robbie, those 2 releases have been on my wish list for a while now. That's great value considering the international shipping and I was pleased to see the UK site accepted my existing Amazon credentials. Smile

Thanks a million...

Very cool, Bob. I didn't know.
'Haseeda' is also out on re-issue vinyl, as far as I can tell.

I've got the original cds, but I'll say thanks for posting for those who don't have them. And also I wish more people would do this kind of posting. If you know of a release, or a show, and it's not being talked about. Post it here, and on FB. It's better for the scene to not keep things a secret. Kudos Bob!

I'm really glad that this is helpful. I figured there were those, like me, who wanted CD's of these spectacular albums. I forgot to mention, there are 3 bonus tracks on "Araban": "Backfire", "Diamond Head", and "Go West". There are no bonus tracks on "Hasheeda".

Bob

Yeesh, I wonder why the steep price for the vinyl, especially when it appears there are a number of people trying to sell them at a lower but still relatively high price that aren't selling very quickly.

And the two-fer CD is out of stock already. Dang.

They show these for sale on the Treble Spankers website:

10 Euros for the double CD ($11.79 USD)
19 Euros for the Hasheeda vinyl ($22 USD)

It says nothing about the shipping prices or policy, but there is a contact email given. I haven't dealt with them myself, just another avenue to explore....

Maybe you try this way for orders

Well given that I'm still waiting for my Phantom Four CD I wouldn't try their website...

Ah, well there you go, then....

I did scroll down and find shipping costs to the US. It would end up being $44 for the Hasheeda vinyl, and almost $20 for the double CD (basically what it cost me through Amazon uk). Probably best just to wait until Amazon gets more in stock if the band website is a little iffy, or perhaps it's something Lorenzo (Surfer Joe) could hook you up with for a comparable price.

The "Rarewaves Import" seller on the Amazon US link is really reliable and fast. I've ordered from them loads of times in the past.
