When some people mention that they won't listen to them because of the name,
I say how evil could they be?, they wear white Levis.

I once wore my SP shirt to work (the design with the devil-girls spinning vinyl), and this cute redhead giggled at it. Ergo, chicks love Satan's Pilgrims.

Hope we can pull some shows out of our hats before the year ends! As fate would have it, it's proving to be a difficult year in that regard...Hope we can get back out there!
Thanks from all the Pilgrims.
Hopefully you fellas can pull something off this year. I'd like to see you guys play again.
Anyways, I found this old thread for, Norm to check out: http://surfguitar101.com/forums/topic/1376/

Bump. Should have started a new topic entitled Satan's Pilgrims Rule The World. Psychosploitation has been in my player for a week and a half non-stop. Everything else SP will take up residency soon. I'm bummed that we won't get to experience the Pilgrims in the NW (or anywhere for that matter it seems) this year. Thank goodness for last year's convention! They rock. They rule. </gush>

Ah, this thread again! This thread, along with the band itself, never ever get old. One of the best bands in the genre by far.

You know how f-ckin' awesome? So awesome that people start threads titled "How F-ckin' Awesome are Satan's Pilgrims?!! (Edited to remove the "The")
Seriously...every devoted Surf fan owes it to themselves to have every single album. Please forgive the repetition if this annoys you, but for those that may not be familiar, here are what you need to get (this is just full-lengths, BTW):
At Home With (Estrus)
Soul Pilgrim (Estrus)
Around the World With (Empty)
Creature Feature (Estrus)

Satan's Pilgrims (MuSick)
Plymouth Rock: The Best Of (MuSick)
— Insect Surfers
The Tikiyaki Orchestra
The Scimitars
Lords Of Atlantis

Psychosploitation (SP Records)
Are those eyes?

Way awesome.
The "must have" gets used a lot, but even though it is unimaginable that someone here isn't into them yet, please at least get the Plymouth Rock comp. One of my favorite things about them is that they groove. I also love that they are legitimately in the whole lineage of great PacNW Garage/instro bands like the Ventures, Sonics, Kingsmen and Wailers. They don't play "at" the style of surf or of those bands---they are the real deal.
I hope I get another chance to see them here in Oregon some day.

Once again,
I must say how Honored and Privileged I feel to have had them
at the SG101 Convention last year.
Thanks again guys for doing it.

Satan's Pilgrims are pretty F'n great. Seeing them a bunch of times and being able to playing a couple shows with them was definitely a "Pynnacle" of my instro endeavors. By the way, check out The Pynnacles from Portland featuring some Sp alums
If you don't own all the SP stuff, find it and buy it. If you're reading these posts, you're already into surf/instro & they are the perfect blend of multi-guitar/instrumental orchestration with the occasional gritty garage tone - you will be pleased!
I think I heard Devil's Punchbowl on a comp in the 90s and I was hooked.
The fact that they have Satan in their name & I can where a shirt that offends the non-believers (those not in the know) is just a bonus.
