hole in their collection and is missing out on not only the Paul
Johnson story, but the surf revival story in a big way. It was
released almost simulteneously with "Surf Beat '80", the Jon and the
Nightriders album. These two albums were a major one two punch that
woke us up in 1980 to how great surf instro was. "Pray for Surf" is
only 8 songs and is essentially an E.P. but the melodies and guitar
playing style will floor you. It's available on an expanded CD at
www.pjmoto.com

I feel so ashamed! I'll seek out a copy. Thanks for setting me
straight. All of my PJ music has been the occasional compilation,
and the early Belair and PJ and the Galaxies stuff. The galaxies
stuff didn't do it for me.

'The galaxies stuff didn't do it for me."
Chris,
I hear you..the PJ and Arty stuff sort of left me high and
dry too...
BUT...when I was exposed to live PJMoto in 2000...I became
a TRUE BELIEVER!
Paul is an underappeciated jewel among guitarists...pure
bliss to watch and hear live.
regards,
dp

Yeah, some of that Gallaxies stuff is ok, but the Packards stuff is great.
