Greetings Boils and Ghouls,
Wow! I know you thought it would never happen but The Ghastly Ones
re-united for their first show in almost 3 years, Friday Jan 28th in
honor of their great friend Rockin' Jellybean's fond farewell back to
Japan. For those of you out there not familiar with Jellybean, he's
the bass player and lead lunatic of the frantic and furious Jackie &
the Cedrics, Japan's leading surf, frat and twist combo.
He's also an incredible artist who's work has graced many album covers
and rock & roll show posters. Check out his stuff at Erosty Pop.
Now, before you flip your top hat at why this show wasn't announced,
it was a private party. But don't fret, there's serious plans to play
some more shows and possibly record. Click on the pic below and check
out the Ghastlies bashing out Surfin' Spooks at Jellybean's Party.
Very nice!!! The Ghastly Ones were one of my favorite bands during
that time when the Treblemakers, and the Bomboras were out. That
whole period of the late 90s produced some great surf bands.

Hey thanks for posting that! That's a great clip and great news that
they may do some more stuff in the future!
Yeah that looks like a Burns to me too. I saw a while ago Garrett's
Showman and road case on E-Bay...maybe he needs to buy it back now. :)

I asked the band members in person at the Headless Hearsemen show in
October 2004 about the Showman and road case on eBay, and it turns out
it was the bass player's, not Garrett's!
