I really dig french horns in surf music! A great example is the
Astronauts "Main Title From: Ride The Wild Surf". Anyone who haven't
heard it can check it out below:

I dig the the horns in the song too. Since I've started listening
to more surf the past year I've really come to appreciate the use of
the saxaphone in early rock 'n roll. I' d love to see more modern
surf bands use the combination which many of the early bands did
with 1 or 2 horns. But it's REALLY tough to find a sax player,
today, who isn't a jazz jobber.
