Did you ever notice just how great the playing and production are on
Jon & the Nightrider's "Fiberglass Rocket"? The sound balance
between the various instruments is just right...pure "Trad"...but
with nice modern touch of high-fidelity.
The arrangements and the interplay between the guitars shows
incredible musicianship. The J&NR's version of "Apache" is one
stellar achievement...I think it's my favourite track.
I'm sure my observations are old news to this group, but I thought
I'd post 'em anyway.
If you haven't heard this CD, by all means acquire your copy NOW!

That Fibergalss Rocket is definitely a great J&tN album, DP. I did have a
complaint back when that there was just about zero bass drum in the mix. This is
not to say I'm looking for a Journey drum mix but it should have a bit of oomph
in there somewhere, especially since we're talking Dusty on the drums. I'll have
to hear it again to confirm. I though both their next album, Moving Target, and
the previous album, Stampede, were also awesome and they had great mixes.
