Speaking of reissue reverb tanks...
A square piece of foam came out of my tank the other day and I don't know
where it goes. Any ideas..
Also,
Would putting SD Antiquity Jazzmaster pickups in a Squire JagMaster even
come close to THAT sound? (same scale length, same body wood, hmmm..)

Phil:
If I'm not mistaken, that foam was used to cushion the reverb pan
when you lock it in place. I haven't taken mine apart (to that
extent) to see if there is only one or more pieces of foam cushioning
the pan . . . try pushing your reverb pan inwards towards
the "locked" position - you should feel some spongy feedback (no pun
intended). On mine, it seems like the cushion is at the top of the
pan (I can't feel it on the bottom, but there is some type of cushion
in there).
Hope this helps!

When I lock the tank down, there is no feedback. In fact it still seems kind
of loose.
Hmmm...looks like I need to take her apart.
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,
When my reverb unit arrived via UPS, it had had the crap knocked out of it.
All but like 2 of the springs that hold the pan in place had fallen off. So
I had to take it apart to fix it. When you lock the pan, you are simply
pushing the pan against some foam padding. The side of the pan that faces
the front is open, exposing the springs. So you are just pushing the springs
against some foam padding when locking it down. You'll probably have to take
it apart and put the foam back. I am not sure how it is normally affixed,
let us know when you find out.
I have also heard stories about the foam falling off and getting caught in
the pan. So suddenly your reverb stops working. But luckily its just the
foam in the way and not anything electrical.

Maybe? The bridge/trem system is different though. However, I think you
might have to do some routing as I think (?) the Jazzmaster pickups are just
a tad wider than your average humbucker.
Good luck,
