Well folks, as the year comes to an end, we are still encountering
surprises. The Cocktail Preachers have been asked to bring their
exotic-surf sounds to WGN Radio (AM 720) in Chicago on New
Years Eve. Nick Digilio and Garry Lee Wright, host of the weekend
night shift at the 50,000 watt blow torch, have requested us to be
the house band for the holiday festivities. Paul Schaffer & Max
Wineberg already had previous engagements so who else do ya call?
We will be on the air performing live in and out of commercial breaks,
as well as performing some entire songs. The festivities start at
11:00pm CST and we swing right thru the new year til 2:30am.
If you're downtown Chicago, and close to 435 N. Michigan Avenue,
peer through the WGN studio window at street level and
wave/heckle/moon/etc. us. Otherwise, while you're on your way to
and from those cozy New Years Eve parties, keep the radio tuned
to WGN AM 720 in your car and enjoy an exotic New Years Eve,
Cocktail Preachers style. For those stuck at home, the show will
be streamed over the Internet at: (Real Player).
