I wish all shows could have great turnouts like the one last night.
Seemed most everybody had a good time.
Thanks to all the bands for a killer show, and especially
Pollo Del Mar, for coming down and sharing their special
(not short bus special) but you get my point) Music with us.
They have always been one of My fav. outta town bands. It seems they
keep gettin' better and better. Not that they were ever bad :)
Hope you guys have a good tour in Europe.
Marty Tippens is doin' a fantastic Job as new drummer for the
Boardwalkers(thanks for the Pink Floyd tune). Please get Dan into
the studio and get us a cd already!! It'll sell millions :)
The Detonators broke out their usual party surf set and livend(sp?)
the night up. Happy B-day Teddy boy, hows 50 feel? ha ha ha
Same for you guys, Cd already man??????
And Of Course The Insect Surfers were in top form with their
original line up in-tact,and tore it up,which is par for the course.
Both Pollo and Insects had alot of people up, movin' and groovin'
which is always good to help make the evening go well also.
As for Friday, in San Diego.
The Sand Devils made a terrific debut performance. Definetly a new
band to keep an eye out for. And if you like Modern Heavy Trad.
Then these guys are just what the doctor ordered. I'm talkin'
Mountains of Volume and Reverb!!! and Fast too. One band I can
kinda say they are similar to is the Infareds. Which Rory was there,
and said the New Infareds cd should be out soon. Keep us posted
dude.
Good weekend for surf in the So. Cal. but nothing on the horizon
for awhile.

We had a good time. It was a great set, but I wish I hadn't been so
tired. I had a hard time staying awake for the Insect Surfers despite
how much I enjoy their music.

Yeah Marty!!! It was great to finally meet you in person. I was very
impressed by your drumming. Keep it up.
All bands did a great job. I hope there's another line up like that
again soon. Thanks, Pollo, for the DK. hehehe
