Hey Mr. Mumps! Did you have to adjust the truss rod on your Dano when
you went to 12's? Do you have to take the neck off to do that on the
Dano guitars? Thanks.

No I didn't. The intonation on the Dano's isn't that great to begin
with. I haven't had a problem with the neck warping...yet. This is
just my personal experience though
FWIW, I have a Dano Hodad strung with .11 flats, and so far (3
months) it hasn't shown any signs of neck warping, etc. Amazingly, I
didn't have to adjust the truss rod at all (I think the factory
strings were .10's) - no buzzing or anything, either. The intonation
is pretty good, too - go figure . . . I'm thinking about going
to .12's on my next string change.
Answering the gear question:
-Dano Hodad w/ trem - .11 flats
-Route 101 "Solimar" (strat knock-off) - .10 roundwound
-Fender RI reverb tank with NOS tubes with 6K6 instead of 6V6
-Fender Cybertwin using a Blackface-type setting (ducking tomatoes
from equipment purists . . . )
Interestingly, the Dano produces a *lot more* treble through the
tank - it can be really piercing at times! I might try a 12AT7
instead of the 12AX7 in the tank to ease that. But it sounds
good . . .
