Stretch Riedle - Compact Disc Land

Dana and Roberta Vincent (dana_l_vincent) - 04 Jun 2002 18:01:26

For those of you who have the opportunity to visit CD Land in Palo Alto, I
would encourage you to do so before the end of this month. Stretch has many
titles significantly reduced, plus carries releases you won't easily find
elsewhere. I spent some time with Stretch today, talking surf music and
bands; Stretch is a very pleasant and friendly fellow whom I have known for
several years, and although the closing of his store is unfortunate, I am
sure he will move on to bigger and better conquests. Sorry if this sounds
like an endorsement of CD Land, but Stretch has been very good to the
instrumental surf and underground music community, and deserves as much
recognition as possible!
Best regards, Dana Vincent

Dana:
Does Stretch entertain mail orders, for those of us in places like
the other coast? Sometimes, I'm lucky enough to have business trips
to the West Coast, but this month isn't one of them :(
Thanks!

He was able to get me a Jon & The Nightriders disc via mail order
that I couldn't find online anywhere else. Great guy, too bad about
the store. I have his Sub-Mersians business card pinned up in my
cubicle right now.
