The Surf Coasters have a new DVD with footage from their 2004 Japan
Tour. I don't know, but it might also include footage from the US
tour, their 10th anniversary show and some early footage from Japan
TV. Who cares, its a Surf Coasters DVD, and that is all that matters.
Want one? Here is what you should do.
1) Send me an email at telling me you want one.
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS LIST. It's annoying to other folks.
2) Include your name and mailing address in the email you send to me.
3) Send me ASAP $35 cash or check made out to:
Ferenc Dobronyi
PO Box 7087
Corte Madera CA 94976
If you are making an international order, add $5
Please follow these instructions.
The DVD is "all regions" so it should play anywhere in the world.
thanks,
ferenc
Here is some more info about the Surf Coasters DVD. It contains a
complete show shot this summer at the O-crest in the Shibuya section
of Tokyo. There is one bonus track "Sharkman", shot somewhere on the
US tour.
Please follow the directions below carefully!!!! I will be making only
one order for the DVDs from Japan, so if you want one, get your order
(and check) in soon.
Thanks,
ferenc

ordered them on Monday.
It's awesome!
thanks

PS- Shigeo is playing a hybrid Strat/Jazzmaster. Strat body with 2
strat pups and a Jazmaster style whammy. Cool!

I think I stumbled across a photo of that guitar on their website. Is this
it?

I got in the Surf Coasters DVD from Ferenc yesterday. As he said,
it's a little short (about 45 minutes), but for those of us who didn't
get a chance to see them this summer, it's awesome to have this.
There are some addtional tunes I would've liked to see and hear.
Overall it's an excellent DVD. Thanks to Ferenc for going out of his
way to get us these!

Life is short. Play for the music. Wear your heart on your sleeve.
I got the Surf Coasters DVD in the mail today. What an awesome DVD. I
was quite surprised by the quality of the picture. I am an afficianado
of music DVDs and this one has got to be near, if not at the top, of
my list of favorite. This is everything I remember from the two shows
I saw on the US tour. The drum solo during Nineteen(I think it was
during Nineteen) was awesome. Adventrues in Paradox is a great song.
Shame they didn't play it when I saw them. What a cool band huh?
If you don't own this DVD you need to buy it. $50 is worth it. I was
reluctant to buy it at first due to the price but I am quite happy now
with my purchse.
