That is incredibly good news!
I wonder if this means they are going to tour to support it?

I'm baffled by their references to Plymouth Rock. I guess I can't seem to
find the correlation between surf music and a boatload of europeans
haphazardly "landing" on a boulder.
I live near plymouth rock and drive by it every now and again. It's still
covered with chewing gum, piss stains and graffitti.
Well, at least its new stuff...that should be fun.

Well, the seeming connection: Satan's Pilgrims -> pilgrims ->
Mayflower -> Plymouth Rock. It has nothing to do with surf music,
but it has something to do with their name...

Can't wait! I've been working for a few weeks on selecting 80
minutes of my favorites by SPs, and i finally made the CD yesterday.
God, it's amazing. What a great, great, great band.
I wonder if the new recordings will signal a new life for the band,
or if it was just a one-off for the old-times' sake...

I've only got one Satan's Pilgrims album and it's
awesome. I think it's the self-titled one on MuSick.
How many albums do they have and what would
everybody's picks for top album be?

Here are my favorite albums in order:
1. Satan's Pilgrims (self titled)
2. Creature Feature
3. Around The World With...
4. Soul Pilgrim
You get those, and you've got yourself a nice helping of SP.

OK, since Satan's Pilgrims is one of my favorites, I'll answer that one.
To the best of my knowledge, they have 5--Around the World with Satan's
Pilgrims, Soul Pilgrim, the self titled one, At Home with Satan's
Pilgrims, and Creature Feature.
My favorite is Around the World with . . .. Why I like it? I don't
know, I just do. All of them are really good, though. I still need
Creature Feature, but haven't been able to grab a copy.
They have also appeared on many compilations. I have Halloween
Hootenanny and Del-Fi Surf Monsters, both of which I really enjoy.

For me its:
Creature Feature - Awesome
At Home With - Awesome
Around The World With - Awesome
Self Titled on MuSick - Very Good (down to 2 guitars here)
Soul Pilgrim - Very Good
They also have some 7"'s which I don't have (yet).
So in short, you are going to want to get them all eventually. I had a very
hard time getting a hold of Creature Feature. Good luck.

Well, I already had the self-titled on MuSick and I
just bought Around The World... online because it was
the only one I could find. This coupled with all my
half.com purchases (including the Link Wray: Rumblman
DVD) puts me up to about $125 in album purchases this
month (and I just emailed Rory from The Infrareds
about getting their stuff). This means no more bars,
guitar strings or food for the month of October. :)

-Dano,
I have to say I'm suprised you left out "At Home with"
Wasn't that their first cd?
I'm hoping that the best of has all the songs from 45's.
I have them all I think, but would be cool to be on disc.

Jeff,
You're right man, but unfortunately, I don't have "AHW", so I can't speak
for it. So if anyone has an extra copy and is looking to get rid of it...
Dave Becker, I still owe you a T-shirt man, I haven't forgotten!!!

Dano, you don't have At Home With??? I'm shocked, shocked!! :) It's
definitely worth getting, but you probably already know that. (If
you can't find it, let me know and I'll burn you a CD-R.)
What about my t-shirt? ;)

I need a copy of Creature Feature. I doubt it, but does anyone have a
copy they want to part with?

I just sold one to my brother in law, but I'll make you a copy if you
want, and I'm always on the lookout for used cd's that are outta
print.
