I've been putting together all my Eddie stuff and forming some
theories on his guitars. One is that he had a "blue" Jaguar. In
this picture Eddie is on the right with the "blue" guitar right?? I
thought that was him.
What do you guys think?

I pretty sure he is the one on the left with the undefinable
guitar... Cool shot! I think they look sharp, too bad there isn't
any footage of 'em then.

Bill, it's hard to tell, but my opinion is that he's on the left.
The guy on the right seems to be holding a Jazzmaster, anyway. And
I've never seen Eddie wear his guitar as high as that guy has it. In
fact, come to think of it, it's possible that neither of them is
Eddie, since the Showmen did sometimes have two rhythm guitarists,
and Eddie may be outside of the photo. The guy on the left doesn't
really look like him either. Certainly the face of the guy on the
right doesn't look like him (it could be Larry Carlton, actually).

One more thing: the guy on the right looks too thin to be Eddie,
too. Eddie was a husky guy even back then.

Husky? We prefer "Healthy" I was always under the impression that
Eddie was pretty tall and solidly built, but not husky. ;-)
I'll have to look at the cd jacket for the Eddie and the Showman
disc I have and See if there is any more info. Have you read the
John Dalley " Surfin"Guitars" section on Eddie?
I don't think the guy with the blue guitar is Larry Carlton - he
isn't that tall. I always saw him in photos with a strat, or a
Gibson SG (shudder)
