Yes I noticed this from your CD. It sounds great.

Once again, you guys have a great CD there. I really like your cover of Surf
Party. How did you guys come up with the slight variation on the main riff?
In the Astronauts version there is kind of a pause, but you guys play right
on through giving it some added momentum. I think that is a nice touch and
now I miss it from the original. I have that about 90% tabbed out now, I
need to finish that off and post it. Its been very fun learning that and
playing along.
I also noticed you thanked eBay in the liner notes. Did you get most of your
gear off eBay? Its quite an impressive list. Which songs have the Bass VI on
it?
Are you going to the Destination Earth/Volcanos/Troubadors show on June 8th
in Indianapolis? I am going to try and make it.
Thanks,
BN
Brian,
At least myself and TooFastJim are going to be at the show. It'll be a
reunion of sorts because it was at Ivan's last Space Cossacks show that Jim
and I first met.
Oh yes, we owe Ebay a HUGE debt of gratitude. Virtually every piece of
used gear we have came from Ebay. I actually found my '66 Showman amp and
cab on Ebay, but it turns out the buyer wouldnt sell it unless you could
come pick it up. By sheer luck, he lived in the next town over from me. In
fact, yesterday I got in the mail a 12 pack of Danelectro Vintage 10s (my
personal favorite) strings, courtesy of an ebay auction. $45.00. Can't beat
it.
As for the Bass VI, which is a mint condition item of rare vintage
beauty, we didn't use it on the recording of any tunes on Nebula One.
It's a tough beast to fit into the mix, but we're working on it. We talk
about it a lot, but we don't roll it out nearly enough.
I hope you can make it to the show in Indy. That would be cool.
