The Madeira has our second show a week from today. The details:
'SURF ROCK NIGHT'
Destination: Earth!, The Madeira, & The Cocktail Preachers
Friday, August 6th 2004 @ The Melody Inn
3826 N. Illinois Street, Indianapolis
Phone: 317-923-4707
9:30 p.m. Over 21. $3.
This is gonna be a rare treat for the Midwestern surf fans - a night
of HUGE 'verb!! We're ecstatic to be sharing the stage with two of
the Midwest's best surf bands, the awesome Cocktail Preachers from
Chicago, and the unforgettable Destination: Earth!, from a distant
galaxy by way of Indy. And if you prefer to hear (at least a few)
Space Cossacks songs played live rather than on CD OR vinyl, you
should be there...

Thanks for the mp3s and videos Ivan. They were great. Anything to
keep me going. Any chance of you guys coming to Seattle... No? I
didn't think so. For the city of the birthplace of the Ventures and
Hendrix we don't get any guitar love up here. Last major surf act to
swing our way was Dick Dale earlier this year and Los Straitjackets
with the Ventures several years prior.
wow! I wish you guys were in California--you sound great. Any chance you'll
make it out this way?

Thanks for the kind words, tikimania and Jacob. We appreciate them.
No tours to Seattle or California in our near future - first we must
demonstrate we can attract some people to our shows in our own
vicinity! But who knows what the future holds. (Incidentally, I
played both Seattle and many places in California with the Space
Cossacks - that was fun, but not exactly what you'd call a money-
making venture!)

I like the cover of "The Victor." That's one of my favorites by Dick Dale.
Well hopefully you will make it west sometime. I would definitely pay to see
you play! Keep that in mind.

BTW, I've seen D:E! twice already, Cocktail Preachers once last
summer, and The Madeira at their first gig in June. This should be a
really fantastic show.

I'm in Evansville....but no wheels this weekend....I hope you guys have a
great show! I'll catch it sooner or later.

Thanks for the good wishes - but just one thing: unless we can get a
decent turnout on Friday, our future shows may be VERY rare indeed.
The show in June wasn't very well attended, and it's an uphill battle
to book clubs with surf music as it is. We'll keep at it, but it
would definitely help a lot if all the people that read this and can
possibly make it to be there. (Though, I know Evansville is a pretty
long way from Indy...)
I'm begging you, people!!! PLEEEEAASEEE!!!!
