I know someone on this list can ID it for me...
Thanks

Vox Phantom VI. Might be a copy Phantom Guitar works and Jay Turser have both
made (make) copies. Hard to tell from the pic but the pickup selector switch
on this one looks like a standard Fender style switch. Vox used a rotary
switch with a little arm on the knob. The original Vox guitars were made by Eko
in
Italy. I have a Phantom XII (that's twelve for you non-Romans). They also made
a version that had a Vox organ in it that was keyed by touching the strings
to the frets. The frets were divided in to six pieces so that each string on
each fret was for one note.

I wanna say it's a Hagstrom, but that's just my wild
guess. I've never seen a picture of Mike from Agent
Orange playing one, but he used to post on this list.
If we're lucky maybe he'll show up and tell us.

Agent Orange is cool. I vaguely remember them playing in Huntington
Beach. I was in a drunken stupor, but I think it was the Huntington
Harbor. Those were the good old days!

There's a couple of pictures of Mike playing a Phantom in the CD book for
Living in Darkness.

Ah youth. Awash in a sea of beer with a sky filled with punk rock. Good
times.
Who would have ever thought anybody would look back on the eighties
wistfully. (sorry for using such a posh word but between the beers and the gigs
I got a
degree in English so I'm required by law to use words like that now and
again.)

I'd say it's some type of Phantom, Vox or knockoff.

I had such a great time in Glendale last weekend that I had to see Big
Sandy again. I went last night. As always, a good show, but a little
more drunken humor, given the venue. The band is going on the road and
will play in the area again in October. You can visit his site at
bigsandy.net. I've attached some pics.
Since someone mentioned it before, I asked the drummer what other bands
he's in. He does quite a few things, including another rockabilly gig,
but he's in the Sleazy Surfers. I've never heard them. If anyone has,
could you give me feedback? I know Phil will be on this one ASAP!

on second look it seems like the Turser VOX Phantom copy...
not enough knobs and the wrong trem for the one pictured to
be a real VOX...
