Greetings from San Antonio, TX! My name is Phillip and I've been
listening to surf since 96. I got turned on to surf by a local(now
defunct) college radio show called Blue Xoam. Every since, I've
listened to nothing else. I've been playin' guitar off and on for the
last eight years. Started playin' punk which stagnated my guitar
playing for the majority if these years. I've been wanting to start a
surf band for a while but never had the funds for decent gear.(Too
much pot and booze!) But now sober, I've saved some money and got
some really cool gear......it's all re-iss stuff but sounds really
cool(Candy Apple Red Jag,Twin Reverb,And Outboard Fender Reverb)I've
Finally found a drummer and we're takin' off! Look out for "the
Lowtides" in the near or maybe not so near future. It's coming
together. Anyways, Aloha! I hope I learn somrthing here, and if
anyone has any advice for a guy who's just starting to take this surf
thing seriously, please pass it my way! Thanks!
