July's Surfers Stomp in Chicago with The Cocktail Preachers

Phil Tiki (surfbass7) - 11 Jul 2004 21:17:15

Prepare as the next set of waves roll into Lake Michigan. Saturday
July 17th, Chicago's favorite surf enthusiasts, The Cocktail Preachers
are layin' down at the 3rd Surfers Stomp of 2004 at Phyllis Musical
Inn. That's right, they're back and they've got martini's flowing and
the reverb tanks cranked. This line-up features Chicago's hottest
local surf bands.
Opening the show will be the young and wild Reluctant Aquanauts. They
amazed everyone at Instr-O-Mania and, by popular demand, they are
back. Catch this crafty three piece as they roll through their
repertoire of danceable surf classics. Headlining the night will be
Chicago's favorite original surf band, The Cocktail Preachers. Mixing
crazy stage antics, Go-Go Girls, Tikis, and fire* with reverb fueled
music, they are in prime summer form. This will be a memorable
Chicago summer night, so don't miss out.
Show starts at 10:00 PM.

Damn Phil...I really wanted to see some fire! :)
I'd like to thank Phil and the rest of the Cocktail Preackers on my
behalf of the Reluctant Aquanauts. We are all looking foward to next
friday and along with the "danceable classics" we are going to try
out some new originals along w/ some new equipment.
Thanks again Phil!
