I'm heading to the coast for a week of conferences and was wonding if
there is anything going on "surf music" related the week of 13th of
July. Any suggestions of music stores, or whatever in that area.

I can't give advice on stores since I get most of my stuff off of the
net. But check the websites for the LA Weekly and the OC Weekly. They
have big venues and small dives all listed there.

Hi Dale, I was looking around for events. I'm sure there are some out
there, but I'm not having much luck. Below, I included a link for the
upcoming events of the Surf Museum in HB. If you skim the net, you're
bound to find something.

Yeah, I agree. The Beach Boys are not my thing either. They were ok for
a specific group, but I really enjoy the instro surf music, which is why
a searched for a group like this through yahoo.
