Hey...I'm new to this group but I'm really into surf guitar. This
band called Tiger Army has got this gothic-surf guitar thing going
for 'em I think ya'll should check them out! They're awesome...
Tiger Army is what is generally referred to as
Psychobilly...hopped up, super distorted rockabilly, a
style of music which has also always been associated
with the sound of the holy 'verb. Lots of good
instrumental songs come from our current crop of
psycho greasers.
If you like Tiger Army, then you should also check out
Nekromantix, and a spin-off band called Horrorpops,
who, aside from being a very good, poppy psycho band
also have a really cool surfy instro on their latest
album called Horror Beach.
And if you're a fan of this type of music in general,
check out my hometown heroes, Rocket 350,
They're not as active now as they used to be, but
their last release, American Grease, is worth it's
weight in gold to me.
