Hey all,
Just a couple of last-minute like things:
First we're playing TODAY (Thursday the 17th) down in Santa Cruz as
part of their Art and Music festival. Catch us with our buddies The
Coppertones, starting at 5:00 in front of the O'Neill surf shop. We
go on around 6:30 or so and will play until 8:00.
If you don't want to leave the comfort of the 415 area code, don't
fret -- we'll be in SF THIS WEEKEND at the KFJC Battle of the Surfing
Bands. This should be a huge and VERY fun show -- it's basically 14
local surf bands, kicking out the jams quick-style, then getting out
of the way for the next band. The music starts at 4:30, and save a
few pauses between bands, won't stop until some time after 9:00. We
are slated to play at 7:10, so make sure not to miss it, because this
time your window of opportunity is only open a crack. This is a 21+
show, and cover is $8. You'll have a chance to pick up the LIMITED
edition KFJC CD featuring the bands playing that day, and will be
able catch a glimpse of the ever-elusive Phil Dirt, who will be MCing
the event.
Finally, for our friends beyond the Bay Area, we'll be hitting the
road again the last weekend in June with our good buddies The
Hypnotic IV -- Friday the 25th in Sac, Sunday the 27th in Huntington
Beach. More info to follow on those shows.
