I am just sharing some info about a concert series I have been helping to
cooridinate. I want to thank all of you for your support, for placing ads,
making donations, and just "being there".

Joining Uptown Arts Stroll
Artists Unite: Hot Nights, Cool Sounds
starts off this season with
Salrumba, A Latin Jazz Combo with Carlos Ponce.
This Saturday, June 12 in Bennett Park,
at 7:00 PM
Concerts are Free.

and celebrate our neighborhood's cultural event.
Carlos Ponce hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and is a leading New York
City music producer. Carlos has had a distinguished career as a solo artist
and
has played with celebrities such as Tito Puente, Carlos Santana, Chayanne,
Sade, Mark Anthony, and Victor Manuel, just to name afew. Carlos's music
influences combine Rock, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Flamenco and World Beat
Sephardic. His
unique guitar style and sound is sought after by many and has brought about
many
diverse projects including the formation of his original group.
SALRUMBA that has been featured on Good Day New York and on CD 101.9.
Bennett Park is located at Fort Washington Ave. and 185th. St.
(Take the A train to 181st. St_and exit via the elevator at 185th.)
It is a lovely park, in a gorgeous section of Washington Heights.
It is the highest point, I think, in Manhattan.
Rain Location is: Our Savior of Atonement Church on Bennett Ave just a "bit"
north of 187th. Street
