Are the Bomboras completly defunct? I've noticed they don't have a
website anymore.

I believe they are. They've all spun off into varous
side projects now. There was The Legendary Invisible
Men and then there was another band called The
Satisfaction I think composed of ex-Bomboras. Old
school garage rock, not sure if they do any instros at
all anymore. The Bomboras sure had a cool sound, I
still listen to Swingin' Singles periodically.

To the best of my knowledge, Jake and Johnny went to the Lords of Altamont;
after the Invisible Men, Shane and Dave went to the Satisfaction (later joined
by Dave Pilgrim on organ) & Greg & Garret (Ghastly Ones) joined the Now
