Thanks for defusing the bomb Dana!!!!
You are absolutely correct!!!! I agree 100%. I've played enough guitars to
know not to judge them by their brand. In fact, my favorite guitar in my 3
guitar collection . . . and the first really great guitar I've ever bought (the
best guitar I've ever played!) . . . is a FENDER JAZZMASTER (pre-CBS Refin to
those who care} that I bought because it was the best surf guitar that I could
afford (had to work construction for a month to buy it. By the time I got it, my
hand were so messed up I couldn't even play it). I think we all need to accept
that one mans trash is another man's treasure (and vice versa). In fact, I was
looking for a good Teisco when I found my Strat copy. In my experience the best
guitar for YOU, is the one that sounds the best to YOU. In fact, I'm jealous of
those "professional" guitar players that can afford to buy whatever guitars they
want. I hope to be one of them someday, but for now I'll have to settle for
guitars that I can afford.

I was a drummer for 17 years before I ever picked up a guitar, and people
used to ask me what I thought the best drums were. After hearing this
question at 2 AM as I'm trying to keep the balance between being social and
loading out my gear, I believe my response can be applied to guitar now as
well as amps and basically any musical gear:
IMHO, The best guitar out there is the one that, at the end of the night,
gets off stage, climbs into its case and loads itself into the car.
THAT...is the best guitar there ever was.
I'm still searching for the best guitar...

I am not sure what everyone got so hot about back there. When Dano said
"your *ahem* strat" I don't think he was knocking you for having a strat
copy, its just that the Nebulas seem to have a dim view of strats in
general.
