What would it take to get the Surf Coasters to come down to Los Angeles on
their West Coast tour? They are playing at the Amoeba Music in San
Francisco, they could play the Amoeba Music in Hollywood and then do a
show at a local club.
We want to see the Surf Coasters in L.A.!
It was the Surf Coasters decision to only play in NorCal on this,
their first tour. This decison was largely based on money, as they,
like every other surf band, don't have any. If you want them to come
back and do another tour, (and go to LA) come to the NorCal shows and
tell them how much LA would love to see them. It is odd, but they are
not sure if American audiences will like them, and the best thing we
can do is to support them while they are here.
What is a little 5 hour drive anyway? Angelinos love to spend time in
their cars, right?

Ferenc,
Do any of the Surf Coasters (or their entourage...if they have one!) speak
English? It seems we will have to try to counter their beliefs that
"American audiences won't like them". Someone should tell them that several
people are flying half-way across the country to see them; and that they
should bring lots of CD's with them!

I am in constant contact with their manager, and I have let him know
about yours and everyone elses enthusiasm. They are very excited to
come. I suggest we all learn some Japanese to make them feel at home:

next year to top yourself.
