please identify this tune

Roland Bettenville (roland_bettenville) - 22 Mar 2004 09:28:48

Hi,
I taped this from TV
It is the soundtrack of an action scene coming from a 60's TV series from
Belgian television.
Don't mind the dialogs just listen to the tune. Sounds like Lalo Schifrin
meets John Barry meets The Ventures.
Does somebody know the tune?

Hi Roland,
Which (old) Belgian television series is it?
I saw a new cd which contained all the old "television melodies" from
the sixties. Perhaps it's on it.
But the style reminds me a lot of the arrangements of "Bert Kaempfert"
who made a lot of tv Action tunes in the sixties.
The progression is typical for his style. Horns, guitars and flutes.
Also he was a promenent user of the baritone guitar.
He also made the "Kapitein Zeppos" tune for the Belgian National
television.
I listened to some other arrangements and they are alike.
Hope this helps,
Jerry S.

Jerry,
It's from Kappitein Zeppos, the third series 1968. Bert Kaempfert also
crossed my mind but I think there are a little too much electric guitars in
it to be him.
