Well, after seeing Phil's email I just couldn't wait
anymore. I dug out my latest Musician's Friend
catalogue and called them. They confirmed that they
were indeed selling the Jazzmasters for $399.99, but
they are on back-order, and I don't think they'll be
getting anymore Jaguars unless something changes. The
only remaining color in the JM is Lake Placid Blue,
but that was fine with me. My wait shouldn't be
anymore than a couple of weeks. Yay, thanks Phil!

When I ordered mine yesterday, the web site said backordered till April 1st. I
got an e-mail from MF last night that said it shipped yesterday and will be here
Monday.
I'm so excited! I'm trying to scrounge up cash for a second one to ReRanch. Can
you picture one in Red Sparkle? How about Gretsch Orange?

Ooh, now I've always had a thing for orange, but
unfortunately it's not the most common color. I was
admiring a Gretsch in orange on eBay yesterday. I had
also thought about reranching mine but I've never done
any kind of refin before. In fact I haven't even
spray-painted anything since I was a kid. But I guess
the good thing about it is that if I botch it the
first time I can always go back and do it again (minus
whatever those reranch kits cost, I forget).
If I refin' mine it'll probably be ocean
turquoise...or maybe old Ford midnight blue. The
possibilities...hmmm.
