Looks like The Now played in February at the Bigfoot Lodge here in L.A. How
about The
Mosleys?
From the Bigfoot Lodge site:
The term "Garage" has been thrown around a lot these days. Shaggy hair and "The"
before
your band name seems to be all you need to garner the term. But these 5 lads who
call
themselves THE NOW have the furious sound and stunning pedigree to be truly
labeled as
such. Guitarist Greg "Lord" Hunt has played in such well-regarded garage faves
as the
Witchdoctors, The Finks, The Gallows, and The Bomboras. Fellow guitarist and
six-string
tyrant, Garrett Immel and snarling vocalist Norman Cabrera come to the band from
The
Ghastly Ones. Shane Van Dyke throttled bass notes for The Bomboras, and The
Invisible
Men. And finally drummer and human dynamo, Eric Skotis has disemboweled drum
kits for
Missing Persons and retro 70's rockers Imperial Drag. Catch the fury and witness
true 60's
style Garage Punk at its maraca shaking and fuzzbox fueled finest.
Anyplace to find Mp3's of The Now or CD's. I loved the ghastly ones and the
bomoboras, being in North Carolina makes it hard to go see them.

So tomorrow morning I'm flying out to San Diego to see two of my all-time
favorite surf bands perform on the same bill: The Infrareds and The Ghastly
Ones.
I can not wait! Can I expect to see any of y'all there?
-Dano
Damn, I'm jealous. Try to get as much info out of the Ghaslty Ones as
you can. Hopefully they will reunite for a full on tour.
They've become very popular among younger kids getting into surf, I
think it would be prime time to tour.

Hi Dano,
I'll be going to the show in Rosemead on the 9th...I don't know of any other
show, but if you're in San Diego tomorrow feel free to contact me off list
and drop by our place for some rum based libations.
