Yet Another Pickup Question:
Does anyone have opinions on the '54s? The reviews
I've read have been favorable but I want some surf
guitarists opinions. Sure, they're used in the Dick
Dale signature strat, so that at least means Fender
thinks they're good for surf. Anyone else think so?

I have a set, and I think they are great! They were the first "non-
stock" pickups I bought, and they made a huge difference in the
guitars' sound. Check out the Jester clip in the files section, the
lead is those pickups.
